The cwdb importer supports aliasing author names now. Which is to say, when importing something by Hairless in Gaza, it’ll suggest “Change to ’smurd’. (Alias) ” as an alternate username.

I’ve spent a great deal of time today banging my head against a strange quirk (for lack of a better term) in Firefox’s Quirks Mode automagical detection.
Two servers, same document, Firefox renders in Standards Complient Mode from one, Quirks Mode in the other.

I bumped into an interesting IPB misfeature 2 days ago. An entire topic could be displayed with view=all. However, in a topic with 17+ pages this technique returns only the first page.
This blew a massive hole in the importer.

Script written, run, and complete. 410 URI’s converted from the phpBB format to IPB in the cwdb.
This is something which I had been meaning to do for a while, but I got caught up in various school stressors instead. Hopefully it helps take some of the burden off the backs of people doing manual conversions.
